OUR FISH

We specialize in producing Chambo, a highly sought-after local tilapia species known for its excellent taste, adaptability, and nutritional value. With an initial capacity of 500 metric tons per year, we plan to scale up to 4,000 metric tons annually, ensuring a consistent supply of fresh fish to both local and regional markets.

Sustainability

At Lake Malawi Aquaculture, sustainability is at the core of our operations. We adopt strict environmental standards, modeled on Norwegian aquaculture regulations, ensuring minimal impact on the lake ecosystem.

Our practices include efficient waste management, careful monitoring of water quality, and collaboration with the local community for social inclusion and shared prosperity.

Our Process

We operate a state-of-the-art hatchery and grow-out cages in Senga Bay, using the latest aquaculture technologies. From the careful selection of Chambo fingerlings to the final harvest, we ensure the highest quality standards throughout our production cycle.

Our fish feed is sourced from trusted suppliers, and our team of aquaculture experts maintains optimal conditions for fish health and growth.

Social Responsibility

We are dedicated to improving the socio-economic conditions of the communities surrounding Senga Bay.

Our Social Inclusion Programme encourages local artisanal fish farmers to participate in the fish production process. We provide access to fry, feed, and financing, helping them establish small-scale fish farms and connect to larger markets.
